Thank you for your feedback. Council were presented with the feedback at its meeting on 26 April 2022 and endorsed the following:

DECISION 1 – HOURS OF USE FOR OVAL

1. That Council notes the feedback provided during the community consultation (Attachment A and B) on the proposed hours of use of organised sport at Kingswood Oval

2. That Council endorse entering into a licence with the Kingswood Sports and Social Club for their use of Kingswood Oval as per

DECISION 1 – HOURS OF USE FOR OVAL

1. That Council notes the feedback provided during the community consultation (Attachment A and B) on the proposed hours of use of organised sport at Kingswood Oval

2. That Council endorse entering into a licence with the Kingswood Sports and Social Club for their use of Kingswood Oval as per the following:

Unley Football Use (April – September)

Monday – Friday 3:30pm – 9:30pm

Saturday 8:00am – 8:30pm Sunday 8:00am – 5:30pm

Unley Cricket Use (October – March)

Tuesday 5:30pm – 8:00pm

Wednesday 5:30pm – 7:30pm

Thursday 4:30pm – 7:30pm

Friday 4:30pm – 8:00pm

Saturday 8:00am – 6:30pm

Sunday 8:00am – 6:30pm

3. That Council requires the Unley Football Club and Unley Cricket Club to provide a copy of their playing fixture on their website, printed copy of their approved hours and playing fixture to be affixed to the outside of the changeroom facility at Kingswood Oval and letterbox drop a copy to residents on Halsbury Ave and Rugby Street, Kingswood each season.

4. That Council approves Kingswood Sports and Social Club to use a loudspeaker to amplify music and make announcements between Noon and 5pm on Saturdays only

DECISION 2– LIGHTING UPGRADE

1. That Council notes the feedback provided during the community consultation (Attachment A and B) on the proposed oval lighting upgrade at Kingswood Oval

2. That Council provides landlord approval for an upgrade to the existing oval lighting at Kingswood Oval to meet football facility standards to be used for both training and matches

3. That it is a condition of Council’s approval that an automatic timer is to be installed and shields to the light fittings installed to reduce light spill

4. That council notes that operating costs of $2,500 per annum are required, equating to an additional rate increase of 0.004% next financial year which is reflected in the draft 2022/23 budget as prior council

DECISION 3– LIQUOR LICENCE ALTERATION

1. That Council notes the feedback provided during the community consultation (Attachment A and B) on Kingswood Sports and Social Clubs proposed liquor licence alteration.

2. That Council provides landlord approval to the Kingswood Sports and Social Club for the proposed area as per Figure 2 in Attachment C and the following hours:

Monday – Wednesday 11:00am – 9:00pm

Thursday 11:00am – 11:00pm

Friday and Saturday 11:00am - Midnight

Sunday 11:00am – 9:00pm

3. That Council provides support for the current number of patrons to remain at 160

4. That Council only supports Club functions being held at Kingswood Sports and Social Club and does not support the use of the clubrooms for evening private functions such as birthday parties and that this is reflected as a condition within the Clubs lease

5. That it is a condition of Council’s approval that the Club is required to nominate a Club member to be on site during the licenced hours to supervise and manage the liquor operations

6. That Council authorise Administration approving up to 10 club events per year for the extension of the licenced downstairs area as reflected in Figure 1 Attachment C
