Consultation has concluded

The Mortlock Park Community Land Management Plan was endorsed at the August 23 2022 Council Meeting.

Consultation was undertaken in April 2022 on proposed amendments to the Community Land Management Plan for Mortlock Park in Colonel Light Gardens to ensure the Community Land Management Plan prepared by Council reflects the core values of the community and delivers a clear vision for the important role community land plays in building a healthy, connected community.

A draft Community Land Management Plan has been prepared for Mortlock Park to facilitate on going reserve improvements and protection of heritage assets within the suburb.

The Community Land Management Plan will provide a specific set of management directions catering to the reserve, its purpose, unique environment and users.

Mortlock Park is located in the southwestern section of Colonel Light Gardens. The reserve currently contains several sporting and recreational features such as an oval, a baseball diamond, a playground, as well as, seating, picnic tables, a lawned grassed area, a barbecue and car parking.
