The Thompson Playground at Nunyara Reserve

The Thompson Playground improvements to Nunyara Reserve is now complete and open for use!

Following an analysis of the survey results We renewed the old playground with a junior play space that caters to younger children. We placed the equipment to make use of the natural shading provided by the trees on site. The playground includes extensive use of natural logs and rocks for nature play, an accessible three bay swing with toddler, junior and ‘pod’ swing seats, twin see-saw springer; single springer; adventure multi-play with a junior slide and a toddler slide, swing bridge and climbing elements.

We also added new safety fencing with child lock gates, a new pathway, new picnic setting and drinking fountain.

In the future we are planning to plant new trees and shade sails.
