Consultation has concluded

Community consultation on the proposal to change the early payment discount scheme for those who pay their rates in full closed on 14 March 2021.

During the consultation period, Council received 980 submissions, of which 73 per cent opposed the proposed change.

On Tuesday 27 April, after consideration of the submissions, Council resolved to continue to provide a discount of one per cent to ratepayers who pay their rates in full by the first quarter due date.
