A new playground, barbecue with picnic table and shelter and bike path are now open at Rozelle Reserve in Melrose Park!
The community gathered to celebrate the opening with a free barbecue hosted by Member for Elder Nadia Clancy MP on Sunday 15 September, 2024.
As part of the project, a playground on the western side of the Reserve has been removed and replaced with a new playground on the eastern side. A barbecue, picnic table and shelter have been installed next to the Reserve’s two tennis courts.
The new fully fenced playground features a play station with slides, climbing wall and climbing ropes, swings, a rocker and spinner, stepping logs and monkey bars.
The bike path will form part of the Flinders-City bikeway.
The upgrade was delivered by City of Mitcham in partnership with a Government of South Australia contribution of $150,000 grant on behalf of the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport.
Consultation has concluded, thank you for your feedback.
