Consultation has concluded
We invited the community to provide feedback on proposed amendments to the Community Land Management Plan for Waite Street Reserve, Blackwood. Thank you for providing feedback. The consultation feedback was taken to a Council meeting on 7 December 2021 and Council resolved:
That Council, having considered the community consultation on the draft Community Land Management Plan for Waite Street Reserve, endorses the Community Land Management Plan (Attachment C) for Waite Street Reserve, Blackwood.
That Council notes ongoing discussions with Kaurna representatives, as the traditional owners of the land, in relation to Kaurna heritage and culture at Waite Street Reserve, including undertaking a collaborative site survey prior to the disturbance of the land to facilitate the construction of the Blackwood Community Hub building.

The consultation feedback will be taken to Council meeting, and Council will consider approving a final Community Land Management Plan
A Draft Community Land Management Plan (CLMP) has been prepared for Waite Street Reserve to facilitate changes to the Reserve, including a future community and library hub building and reserve improvements.
The CLMP will provide a specific set of management directions catering to the reserve, its purpose, unique environment and users.
Feedback is being sought to ensure the CLMP prepared by Council reflects the core values of the community and delivers a clear vision for the important role community land plays in building a healthy, connected community.
Waite Street Reserve
Waite Street Reserve is centrally located in the main street precinct of Blackwood. It contains a playground, basketball and netball rings, seating, picnic tables, a lawned grassed area, a barbecue and car parking.
