Consultation Outcomes
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback during our April 2025 consultation.
There was strong community interest in adding a flying fox, along with more seating and picnic tables within the reserve. The most requested play elements included slides, an inground trampoline, climbing structures, and equipment suitable for all age groups.
We acknowledge that the renewal of the irrigation system is also required, and this will be delivered as a separate project.
Upgrade works are expected to commence in early 2026.

The City of Mitcham invited the community to provide feedback on a planned playground upgrade at Birksgate Reserve, Urrbrae. We’re aiming to upgrade the current playground equipment to create fun, inclusive spaces that cater for a wider range of children's age groups, and your input will help shape these new play areas!
