A New Playground is Coming to CC Hood Reserve

The City of Mitcham is pleased to announce that construction of a new playground at CC Hood Reserve will begin on Monday 28 April.
Designed to support active, inclusive and imaginative play for children of all ages, the new playground will be located on the eastern side of the reserve, adjacent to the northern side of the toilet block and pathway.
This project is proudly funded by the Government of South Australia, on behalf of the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, and forms part of the Malinauskas Government’s commitment to revitalising CC Hood Reserve. The commitment was made by Nadia Clancy, Member for Elder, in the lead-up to the state election.
The playground design includes a range of features that cater to a wide variety of age groups and abilities, creating a welcoming space for families to enjoy.
The new playground will feature:
- A flying fox
- A large multi-play tower with slides
- A 3-bay swing set with a mix of junior, toddler, basket, and duo swings
- Three spring rockers
- An inclusive roundabout carousel
- A sand factory
- Monkey bars
- Lillypad steppers
