Small Dog Park construction to commence soon!

We are excited to share that the CC Hood Reserve small dog park will commence construction Thursday 27 February with an anticipated completion date of early April – weather permitting.
The small dog park is part of Stage 1 of the Reserve Masterplan, which includes construction of a playground, basketball court, junior pump track, BBQ, small soccer goals on the Oval, a central tree-lined pathway with lighting and if funding permits, additional tree-lined pathways.
The small dog park will be located at the northern end of the reserve near the walking path that runs parallel to Eliza Place. The dog park will consist of a shelter, seat and drinking fountain with two double air lock gates to access the path. You can view the plans here.
The contracts have recently been awarded for the playground and pump track, and we will keep you updated as these works progress.
These Stage 1 works are being delivered as part of a 2022 State Government election commitment by the Member for Elder, Nadia Clancy MP who committed $1 million on behalf of the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport towards the revitalising of CC Hood Reserve.
