We wish to thank everyone who contributed to the development of the Public Realm Heritage Guidelines (formerly Heritage Standards for the Public Realm) has been guided by extensive community and stakeholder feedback.
Council undertook two rounds of engagement via online surveys, conversations with residents and written submissions. Community engagement occurred during the months of March 2022 and July 2022. Additional stakeholders were consulted during this period including academic experts, legal advisors and Heritage SA.
At each phase of the engagement process the Public Realm Heritage Guidelines were subject to review and incremental improvement.
The Public Realm Heritage Guidelines were formally adopted by Council on 23 August 2022.
