Revitalising St Marys – Reserve Upgrades Commencing

Furniture installations are progressing well and are expected to be completed in the next couple of weeks, along with the new fencing at Donald Street Reserve.

As part of the Revitalising St Marys project, installation of new park furniture will begin this week across local reserves. This includes shelters, BBQs, drinking fountains, seating, and picnic tables to enhance community spaces.

Schedule of Works:

  • St Marys Street Reserve & Thurles Street Reserve:
    Temporary fencing is being installed today, with works beginning from tomorrow (13 May 2025).
  • Donald Street Reserve:
    Temporary fencing will be installed next week (19 May 2025). Please note there may be times when the playground is temporarily fenced off while a new fence is installed around it.

The City of Mitcham is excited to hear your feedback on the planned playground upgrades at Donald Street Reserve and Thurles Street Reserve, St Marys. We’re aiming to create fun, inclusive spaces for children of all ages, and your input can help shape these new play areas!

This project is funded by the Government of South Australia on behalf of the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport. This work goes towards delivering on the Malinauskas Government’s promise to revitalise reserves in St Marys by the Member for Elder, Nadia Clancy in the lead up to the state election.
