Manson Oval Toilets
Construction Update October 2024
We are pleased to advise that construction works for the new toilet facilities will be commencing in early November 2024, with completion expected in February 2025.
During the construction, the area will be closed off using temporary fencing. The nearby playground and gazebo will remain accessible throughout the construction period. Two parking spaces will be reserved for contractor use and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
If you have any questions during the construction phase of this project, please contact our Property team on 1300 133 466 or email us at yoursay@mitchamcouncil.sa.gov.au.
We are excited to soon be able to open these facilities for community use!
New toilet coming soon!
We are excited to announce that, following overwhelming public support and careful consideration of community feedback and additional site surveys, we will proceed with the new toilet facility project as outlined in the attached plans.
The new public toilet facilities will be built next to the playground/gazebo area at Manson Oval. The facility will include a unisex accessible cubicle (with a baby change table) and a unisex ambulant cubicle, ensuring accessibility for all community members and visitors.
These toilets will be open during daylight hours and will be cleaned daily to maintain hygiene standards. The existing toilet facilities on Alpha Road, which are not open to the public, will be closed and converted into storage for local sporting clubs that use Manson Oval.
We anticipate commencing construction around October 2024, with completion expected by January 2025.
Thank you for your valuable input and support in making this project a reality.
Background
The City of Mitcham invited feedback on a proposal to construct new public toilet facilities at Manson Oval, Sargent Parade in Bellevue Heights.
We are proposing to build new public toilet facilities adjacent to the playground/gazebo area at Manson Oval. These facilities will replace the existing toilets on Alpha Road, which aren’t open to the public. The new facility will feature a unisex accessible cubicle (including a baby change table) and a unisex ambulant cubicle, ensuring accessibility for all community members and visitors.
It is proposed that the new public toilet facilities will only be open during daylight hours and will be cleaned daily to ensure hygiene standards are maintained. The existing toilet facilities located on Alpha Road will be closed and the building will be converted into storage for use by local sporting clubs who utilise Manson Oval.
