Consultation has concluded
Sturt River Linear Trail Proposed Alignment - Bedford Park to Craigburn Farm
In 2021 Council undertook community engagement for the Sturt Linear Trail Report which investigates feasible options for the Sturt River Linear Trail (SRLT). The SRLT concept is a continuous public open space link which connects areas between Craigburn Farm through to South Road in Bedford Park.
After reviewing and considering all feedback, Council is now progressing this project with the Detail Design for a section of trail from the X Terrain Park CRAIGBURN FARM, to the Blackwood Oval BLACKWOOD. This alignment, the Craigburn Link has been informed by community consultation completed in April 2021 and stakeholder discussions.
Due to the size and scale of this project, any potential roll out would be progressively managed in stages that are designed to work independently as neighbourhood trail links, and contributing to the Sturt River Linear Trail concept.
