Do I have to answer questions about all asset types?

No, the survey allows you to skip questions regarding specific asset types should you wish to do so. However, we would encourage you to share as much information as you are able to help inform the future management of our assets.

    What are levels of service?

The City of Mitcham aims to provide a level of service in which assets are operated, maintained, renewed and upgraded in a manner that best services the community.

We operate and maintain the assets as necessary to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all users, and the standards to which we maintain our assets form part of our service levels.

Minimum levels of service may be required by legislation, where certain standards or conditions must be met to meet the requirements of various laws or regulations.

Community-based levels of service are based on what the community values. This may be related to the conditions of assets or facilities, aesthetics and amenity, or if the asset is meeting community needs.

Technical service levels are set to achieve an agreed standard of asset performance, and will inform when assets should be acquired (new or substantially upgraded), maintained (day-to-day work), renewed (replaced like for like) or disposed (demolished).
